Jeffrey B. Bogart began the practice of law in 1972, as an Assistant District Attorney in New York City. He prosecuted white-collar crime, organized crime and corruption cases. He then accepted a position with the United States Attorney's office for the Northern District of Georgia as an Assistant United States Attorney. Mr. Bogart was appointed as a Special Prosecutor for the State Bar of Georgia from 1977 through 1979 and 1985 through 1987.
He has participated in the N.I.T.A. Program at Emory Law School and the Gary Christy Trial Practice program at the University of Georgia School of Law.
He is considered by his peers to be a Super Lawyer from 2004 to the present. He is the only lawyer in Georgia to be voted as one of Georgia's Legal Elite by Georgia Trend Magazine in both criminal and family law. In 2006 he was honored as one of the top 100 lawyers in Atlanta as published in Atlanta magazine Super Lawyers edition.
Mr. Bogart has tried cases in Federal and State court in Georgia and other states. He has appeared in every conceivable forum from administrative hearings to United States Congressional subcommittee hearings. Mr. Bogart has been rated one of Georgia's Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) top speakers at seminars for many years. He is most proud of his KISS Seminar trial practice seminar, which he created over 10 years ago. Mr. Bogart has authored numerous articles and seminar presentations in the areas of litigation, criminal and family law.
Mr. Bogart has been seen nationally on CourtTV in the highly publicized criminal case of State vs. Meehan and in one of the few televised divorce trials.
Mr. Bogart is skilled at conducting mediations, arbitrations and late case evaluations in the area of family law. He takes pride in assisting parties with resolving their case outside the court room.
Mr. Bogart has been AV rated for almost a quarter of the century by Martindale Hubbell. Mr. Bogart's approach to litigating starts with preparation and ends with preparation. No client receives greater attention than any other client. Mr. Bogart's clients consider him to be copious, conscientious, caring and committed to their cause.
He is married to Christine Clark Bogart, a member of the law firm. They have a combined family of seven children and two grandchildren.
